Would You Believe There is a UFO City?
Or at least there was. I haven’t been there for a while, but proprietor Becky Escamilla, who is featured in the film, ran a small UFO museum on family property in Midway, NM. The area is known for a lot of weird sightings, not only by the Escamillas, who had compiled hundred of hours of footage of anomalous aircraft and strange lights, but by the neighbors, too. Midway is about nine miles southeast of Roswell. You can reach it by taking the Old Dexter Highway from Roswell, or heading down South Main Street to NM 285, and continuing until it turns into Route 2. Stay on 2. Just before it converges with Old Dexter Highway, you’ll see the place on your right. I found one working website link but that’s about all. You can try calling Becky at (575) 347-2200 to see what’s up. By the way, Becky’s brother, Jose, is famous for his “rods” movies. The anomalous objects were first shot from this area.
